The fae were walking past my window,
On this dark autumn night.
They made me forget the hard times past,
And return, they just might...

Thanks

Thanks for all your comments regarding Xmas. I appreciate them. I think we're going to try Medusa's idea about the "gold, frankincense, and myrrh" suggestion. :)

Jodi, I'm sorry I haven't posted much on your blog. I keep not remembering to come here! But I just wanted to chime in that you should NOT feel bad about not having some elaborate Christmas gift list to fill. That's crazy talk. Our oldest is getting one big gift from us--this year it's a new bike because he's outgrown his old one. Oh, and there's now way my husband, aka Sir Bikes-a-Lot, wouldn't be getting his son a new bike. But as for the crazy shopping, we're leaving that up to the grandparents. Right now we have the only grandkids, so we're not going to begrudge them the fun of spoiling them a little--as long as they're not rotten.

And I was just thinking the other day how I ought to have the baby's portrait taken (he just turned 3 months), but everyone's out there getting the holiday pictures taken, and I justified not going by saying that I'm avoiding all those cold/flu germs. We'll just take a holiday pic in front of the tree, and maybe I'll get both kids to Picture People in January.

I like the idea of the gold, frankincense, myrrh thing, but I think we'll have to wait until the kids are a little older to attempt that.
