The fae were walking past my window,
On this dark autumn night.
They made me forget the hard times past,
And return, they just might...

Update (finally)

geez, it's been forever since I did a real post on here! This is what's been going on around here, in a nutshell...

Baby news:
Pooks had a growth spurt at my last appt - my belly grew like 10 cm (or whatever measurement they use for fundal height, how pathetic that I don't know) in 4 weeks, so I'm now measuring 5 weeks ahead (I was right on before). I'm gaining weight like a whale again *sigh*. I think I'm about +37lbs already. So much for my goal of gaining only 40 lbs with this one! I gained 60+ with Rhiannon, so I am really hoping to stay under that since I'm eating much better this time around. How depressing if I could be chowing down on McD's 4x a week instead of salads, Super Greens, and tofu, and still gain the same amount! Argh! I go to the midwife again soon, then I start going every 2 weeks already. I'm still planning my homebirth, and am really getting excited about it. My friend Shonna is planning a Blessing Way ceremony for me too!! I am so jazzed. She won't tell me everything we're going to do, but I have to come early and get my belly covered in plaster! As part of the ceremony, the women are all going to decorate the plaster cast, and Rhiannon and Dave are both going to put their handprints in it. I really wanted this done, and for Shonna to suggest it is just amazing. Oh, and I found a woman that does pg photography VERY reasonably, so I'm going to have that done as well too! So I'm happy that I will get to celebrate and honor this pg, since it has really been flying by, and I haven't really focused much on it.

Also, I think Pooks may have a name - we've been trying it out for a couple weeks, and we still really like it, so who knows.
*drum roll please* :
~ Aeryn Rayn ~

Dave likes the name Aeryn (spelled like Aeryn Sun from Farscape, a Sci-Fi show - since we're techie geeks). Rayn is after Dave's late grandpa Ray. So Dave gets his "normal" first name, and I get my "hippie" name (as he likes to call my name selections), plus we get a family name as well. So it's really a good fit. (Rhiannon's mn is Evelyn, after my grandma who's still living, so it's nice to keep up that tradition as well). Oh, and mil said she likes the name Erin the first time we ever talked about it - not sure if that's a plus or a minus! LOL
Oh, and it is HOT here!!!! On the news they refer to it as being "in the teens", as in 113, 117... I may be in the 3rd trimester, but Sept is still a long way away!

Rhiannon news:
She has been SUCH a sweetie lately. I am so grateful for the reprieve, it has been a tough 6 months. But the last couple weeks she has been so nice, and it's really been fun to be around her. I missed my little sweetheart!! She got her hair cut at the salon for the first time yesterday - she looks so cute and grown up. It's still shoulder-length, but it was way down her back and just too thick and hot for summer. I would put it in a braid or a ponytail every day, but still. And, it has some growing-out to do, thanks to the hack job I did on her bangs. How am I supposed to know where the "natural bang" lies??? The girl needed her hair cut at 4 months old, I had to do something!

Glow Diva news:
I took some candle samples around to a few local stores - I figured I'd have to go to at least half a dozen places to get one to carry them, but I went in and met with three; and *every one* wanted some! So I'm now in local stores around town - one is a New Age store (which is a big deal actually, since they have 3 stores in town, plus one in LA, and if they sell well, they will want them in all of their stores!), and the other two are natural food type stores. So I'm pretty thrilled!

Ok, I think that's everything new and exciting. I still have some work to do tonight, so I better get on it.
Bye for now!

Thanks ladies! The name has really grown on me, too.

izzy, I love Dharma Jane too! Totally cool! And I'm tired of gaining weight, but I'm doing what I can and still packing it on. *sigh* Oh, well, it all came off last time and then some, so I'm hoping for the same result with this baby! :P

Talk to you soon!
