Yahoo! News - Unhappy Democrats Need to Wait to Get Into Canada

I guess I'm not the only one thinking of packing it up to Canada. It's more complicated than I initially thought. Luckily, Dave is a citizen and I'm not going to be working anyway, because it takes months to get a work visa/permit. UNLESS you claim yourself to be a refugee, apparently.

"Anybody who enters Canada who claims refugee status will be provided with a work permit ... it doesn't matter what country they're from," Iadinardi [Canada's immigration ministry spokeswoman] said.

It's not easy to get approved, but what a trip.
